Wikipedia On The Sopranos...
Eggs foreshadow the occurrence of something unfortunate, generally a loss of life, loss of sanity, or both. A similar foreshadowing occurs in The Godfather film series whenever oranges appear on screen.Really? Is this something everyone knew?

I've heard of the oranges thing.
And we just had a meal of baked ziti last night because our friend M. saw the very dish in "every" scene of a particular Sopranos episode. I don't know what that foreshadows (heartburn?), or how that relates, but it seems to.
